About the Position:

 

We are looking for a Technical Sales Senior Manager to join the Electronics Japan team, reporting directly to theHead of Strategy & Product Management.
 

This position is based at our office in Yoshimi Japan.
 

As the Technical Sales Senior Manager at Marelli, you will be responsible on establishing, building, and maintaining relationships with senior and middle technical leadership within OEM customers. The Technical Sales Manager will act as a trusted advisor, deeply understanding the customer’s technical roadmap and aligning it with the company’s product and technology offerings in the automotive electronics domain.

Your Responsibilities will be:

Establish, Build, and Maintain Customer Relationships

  • Establish and lead strategic relationships with senior and middle-level engineering leadership at new and existing OEM customers
  • Build trust and credibility through technical expertise and deep understanding of customer needs
  • Represent the company in high-level discussions with senior engineering leaders at the customer, demonstrating recognized technical expertise and business acumen.

Promotion of Products and Technology:

  • Effectively communicate the company’s product portfolio and technology roadmap to customers, emphasizing innovative solutions and their competitive advantages
  • Identify opportunities to position the company as a partner in developing next-generation automotive electronics
  • Proactively influence OEM product requirements to align with our product roadmaps

Account Management:

  • Take full ownership of one or two key customer accounts, acting as the main point of contact for all technical engagements
  • Develop and manage stakeholders map and engagement plan
  • Working with the sales account leader, develop and execute account-specific strategies to meet revenue and partnership goals

Cross-Functional Orchestration:

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering and product management to deliver the best value solutions to the customer.
  • Ensure timely and effective responses to customer technical inquiries, technical evaluations, and RFQs.

Support Product Strategy Development

  • Support the development of product roadmaps with detailed feature, technology, and value propositions by acting as the voice of the customer to Product Management
  • Provide feedback to Product Management on cost targets, benchmarking, and technical gaps

                   

What Qualifications you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical fields
  • Master’s degree in engineering and/or MBA preferred                                
  • English fluent                   
  • Proven experience in technical sales, account management, or business development within the automotive electronics industry.
  • Nice to have, previous Engineering or Program Management experience
  • Expertise in automotive technologies, including E/E architecture, SoCs, and related components or systems preferred
  • Ability to identify, engage, and build relationships with OEM engineering decision makers
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, engineering, and product management to develop and execute new business acquisition strategies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to make technical presentations to all levels within Marelli and OEM organizations (peers, management, and executives)"
