About the Position:
We are looking for a [EHS Engineer] to join the [EHS+PS] team, reporting directly to the [EHS Supervisor].
This position is based at our office in Hefei.
As the [EHS Engineer] at Marelli, you will be support the EHS Supervisor and plant organization to ensure compliance with Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety standards as required by Marelli and national laws and regulations. Assist in implementing management systems to train, guide, monitor, and manage relevant EHS aspects in plant operations.
Your Responsibilities will be:
1. Assist in the development and maintenance of the EHS system within the plant, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, standards, and regulations from Marelli, ISO14001, and ISO45001.
2. Support communication with government authorities and manage EHS-related issues to maintain legal compliance and high standards of occupational health, safety, and environmental protection.
3. Implement and ensure compliance with three-level safety training, fire safety training, and occupational health training, as well as maintain documentation and archives of related records.
4. Support the application and approval processes for new, upgraded, or expanded projects with government agencies.
5. Ensure compliance with mandatory government EHS regulations through inspections, audits, and maintenance record management, including those related to special equipment.
6. Assist in the implementation and follow-up of EHS contingency plans, report preparation, and tracking corrective measures.
7. Support the management and monitoring of construction projects involving external suppliers to ensure compliance with plant EHS procedures.
8. Participate in training and transferring EHS lessons learned from other plants to the local plant.
9. Support and coordinate regular EHS self-assessments, internal audits, and inspections, identifying gaps and helping to develop long-term improvement plans to enhance EHS performance.
10. Safety:
a) Assist in implementing the safety standardization system, monitoring, and supporting continuous improvements in the plant.
b) Support identification of safety hazards, perform risk evaluations, implement preventive measures, and track the improvements.
c) Support the proper operation and management of the firefighting system.
d) Aid in chemical management and compliance activities.
11. Environment:
a) Assist in ensuring proper waste management to comply with applicable regulations.
b) Assist in identifying environmental hazard sources, evaluating risks, implementing mitigation measures, and tracking the implementation.

What Qualifications you will bring:
- College or university diploma, preferably in Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in EHS fields.
- Familiarity with national regulations, and standards.
- Knowledge of ISO14001, ISO45001.
- Good command of English, both spoken and written.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work in a team and resolve issues.
