About the Position:

 

We are looking for a [MFE Supervisor]  to join the [MFE + PS] team, reporting directly to the [MFE Manager].
 

This position is based at our office in [Hefei].
 

As the [MFE Supervisor] at Marelli, you will be support

  1. Lead the manufacturing process engineering team to drive continuous improvement in productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
  2. Develop and standardize work methods, train and validate operators, and ensure robust on-site organization.
  3. Coordinate with the Project Launch Management (PLM) team to introduce new projects, and lead the setup and validation of new production lines to ensure successful launch and ramp-up.

Your Responsibilities will be:

 

    1. Lead and manage the process engineering team in the design, optimization, and validation of assembly processes for precision mechanical components, with emphasis on pressing and crimping process.
    2. Conduct initial process analysis and provide cost estimations for new projects, including make-or-buy analysis and investment in equipment and tooling.
    3. Propose and lead new project initiatives during the process development phase.
    4. Oversee machine qualification at suppliers, lead installation, commissioning, and validation in the production plant, and support production ramp-up.
    5. Collaborate with project managers to develop prototypes, conduct pre-acceptance at supplier sites, and manage installation, debugging, and final validation of production lines.
    6. Ensure preparation and maintenance of key process documentation (e.g., layout, technical contracts, process flow charts, PFMEA, process cards, work instructions, packaging and delivery specs).
    7. Support quality team in addressing customer complaints and audits.
    8. Take ownership of process stability and problem-solving during mass production.
    9. Lead and support engineering change activities impacting manufacturing processes.
    10. Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 requirements and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

What Qualifications you will bring:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in process engineering within precision mechanical assembly, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong expertise in pressing ,crimping process, welding process, test process.
  • Familiar with Poka-Yoke, MES traceability systems, and basic PLC knowledge is preferred.
  • Experience with IATF 16949 and core quality tools (FMEA, APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA).
