PLM Engineer

About the Position:

We are looking for a [PLM Engineer]  to join the [PLM Department +PS] team, reporting directly to the [PLM Manager].
 

This position is based at our office in [Hefei].
 

As the [Job Title] at Marelli, you will be responsible/support/elevate.....

To manage manufacturing perimeter including new project launch, PMD, VAVE, capacity increase, continuous improvement activities in new products industrialization by leading the Manufacturing team in plant to achieve the mission.

Your Responsibilities will be:

• The Plant Process Launch Management Engineer is member of the Core team and Functional Project Leader for Manufacturing. He/she represents the project to the Manufacturing and Plant Functions and shall plan, monitor, control and ensure performance of project activities regarding project Manufacturing Deliverables.
• The Process Launch Management Engineer shall plan the required activities and the Manufacturing Key Deliverables to be executed in his/her perimeter providing a detailed Industrialization schedule.
• The Process Launch Management Engineer  is responsible for achieving the new process launch objectives (cost quality and time to market) by managing new products Manufacturing Simultaneous Engineering, industrialization and Launch activities through the supervision of the whole process: from the offer preparation phase to the production ramp-up phase.
• The Process Launch Management Engineer is responsible to organize weekly meeting with the Manufacturing Team in plant. In particular, the Process Launch Management Engineer shall:

• Check the manufacturing Key Deliverables implementation status according to the project Gantt;
• Check the execution of the low level deliverables assigned to the single Manufacturing Team member versus the plan;
• Check and review the manufacturing KPI and baseline;
• Check and update the LOP (list of open point) for any new action and for any task that results in delay or not aligned with the plan.

• Manage followings of projects:

1. New project launch management
2. Cost down
3. Capacity optimization
4. Production transfers
5. In-source/Re-source of product
6. Design / Process change (PMD)
7. Achieve cost, quality and timing targets of the project
8. Lead VAVE workshop and tracking to realize the activities.
9. As a project core team member, lead plant manufacturing team members for managing actively conflicts and seeking solutions to ensure good teamwork and achieve the project targets.
10. Prepare industrialization solutions and offers for new project quotation.
11. Manage Product Improvement Processes projects.
12. Other jobs as assigned by managers.

What Qualifications you will bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/Automation/Industrial Engineering.
• Good knowledge and experience in assembly processes for automotive components is mandatory, it’s a plus to have knowledge and experience in manufacturing engineering field.
• Familiar with the knowledge of manufacturing management, lean manufacturing practice, project management, equipment layout, material flow, process & engineering, etc.
• Minimum 2years experience as Process Engineering /Manufacturing Engineering/ Project Engineering or similar positions.
• Familiar with IATF16949 and 5 tools (MSA, SPC, FMEA, APQP&PPAP);
• Certificate of PMP is a plus.
• Fluent in write and oral English.
