We are looking for a Regional Corporate Environmental Health and Safety Manager to join the Environmental Health and Safety team at Marelli Global Business Services America, reporting directly to the Head of Environmental Health, Safety, and Energy.
The position is located in Ciudad Juárez.
As Regional Manager of Corporate Environmental Health and Safety, you will be responsible for corporate environmental health and safety in the region. The position is located in our office in Ciudad Juárez.
Marelli's Regional Manager of Corporate Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) occupies a strategic position focused on leading the organization's efforts in environmental management, health, and safety across all regional operations. This role is essential to implementing a culture of safety, health, and environmental responsibility throughout Marelli, aligning EHS objectives and corporate procedures and initiatives at the regional level. The Regional EHS Manager provides leadership and guidance in a specific area of expertise for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of EHS practices, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and promoting sustainable operations.
Tus Responsabilidades serán:
• Ensure the establishment of an appropriate EHS committee at the regional level.
• Support the management team in integrating EHS into the development of new projects in the region.
• Define and monitor the EHS strategy in line with global EHS plans.
• Ensure regional compliance with the global EHS policy.
• Ensure legal compliance with EHS and appropriate relations with the relevant EHS authorities.
• Ensure adequate communication flow between Global EHS/Business Units/Centers.
• Support the development/maintenance of ISO14001 and ISO45001 certifications.
• Define and support EHS projects as part of the company's sustainability programs.
• Provide technical/legal support on EHS matters to the EHS division.
• Lead/support EHS due diligence for green/brownfield sites and permitting for new plants.
• Lead/support environmental remediation of sites in coordination with the company.
• Ensure training on global IT tools for EHS processes.
• Support improvement of the MMS.
• Share best practices to support the achievement of objectives.
• Ensure the reliability of EHS data collection, reporting, and analysis.
• Support centers in at least the following activities through on-site visits and ongoing monitoring:
*Hazard identification and risk assessment.
*Incident analysis.
*Occupational health management.
*Emergency preparedness.
*Fire prevention (protection of persons).
*Environmental impact assessment.
*Waste, water, and air emissions management.
*Contractor program.
*Government inspection.
*EHS supplier requirements.
Qué cualificaciones traerás:
• Education: A bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field is required; a graduate degree is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 12 years of experience in EHS management, with at least 5 years in a leadership position overseeing operations at multiple sites.
• Certifications: Professional certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH) are preferred, reflecting a commitment to excellence in EHS practices.
Otras habilidades deseables
• Skills: Deep knowledge of regional/national, state, and municipal EHS regulations, exemplary leadership and strategic planning skills, effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills, and proven ability to manage risk and drive EHS performance.
• Requirements: Demonstrated leadership in designing and implementing comprehensive EHS strategies, strong analytical and decision-making skills, and experience in fostering a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
