About the Position:
We are looking for a SDE to join the Quality, Lighting team, reporting directly to the SQE Manager.
This position is based at our office in Juarez.
As the SQE at Marelli, you will be responsible/support/elevate.....
Your Responsibilities will be:
- Lead supplier quality management activities to ensure compliance with product and process requirements.
- Conduct supplier audits, assessments, and qualification activities.
- Manage APQP, PPAP, Run-at-Rate, and supplier readiness activities for new programs.
- Drive supplier corrective actions using 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, and other problem-solving methodologies.
- Monitor supplier performance through key quality metrics such as PPM, defect rates, and corrective action closure.
- Coordinate containment activities and support issue escalation when supplier quality concerns arise.
- Review and approve supplier quality documentation, including Control Plans, PFMEAs, Process Flow Diagrams, and inspection reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Program Management.
- Support new product launches and ensure supplier compliance with customer-specific requirements.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve supplier performance.
- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific quality requirements.
What Qualifications you will bring:

Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering or Quality Engineering within the automotive industry.
- Experience working with Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers.
- Proven experience in supplier audits, PPAP approvals, and supplier development activities.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.
- Proficiency in Automotive Core Tools:
- APQP
- PPAP
- PFMEA
- MSA
- SPC
- GD&T and engineering drawing interpretation.
- Root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies (8D, 5 Why, DMAIC).
- Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Language Requirements
- Advanced English (written and verbal).
- Ability to communicate effectively with global suppliers and cross-functional teams.
